“Cougar by Blue Mesa Reservoir at Dillon Pinnacles.” This framed 16″ x 20″ acrylic painting on stretched canvas is the last planned painting in a series titled “Majestic Nature” that is being prepared for an upcoming solo exhibit in a hospital lobby in September. Sometimes I listen to music to help set the mood as I paint. For this painting, I listened a lot to Michael Martin Murphy’s CD, “Cowboy Songs.” Framed in black floater frame with pewter front. Size with frame: 18″ x 22″. Signed in lower right.

Description

“Cougar by Blue Mesa Reservoir at Dillon Pinnacles,” might be sub-titled “Cougar that Ate the Hare.” It is based on a reference photo from an HCP friend with her permission. The Cougar was added for fun, but also as a thematic element. This framed 16″ x 20″ acrylic painting on stretched canvas is the last planned painting in a series titled “Majestic Nature” that is being prepared for an upcoming solo exhibit in a hospital lobby in September. Sometimes I listen to music to help set the mood as I paint. For this painting, I listened a lot to Michael Martin Murphy’s CD, “Cowboy Songs.” Framed in black floater frame with pewter front.
