This is a 10.5″ x 8.5″ pastel on heavy paper of the Glade Creek Grist Mill. It is a composite drawing based on a number of photographs. I usually work with acrylics on canvas, however I decided that this subject was ideal for pastels. I’ve been reading a lot about Impressionist art and artists, so this is also a nod to that. Framed in a 15″ x 12″ dark brown wooden frame with 14″ x 11″ matting and tempered glass.

I usually work with acrylics on canvas, however I decided that this subject was ideal for pastels. I’ve been reading a lot about Impressionist art and artists, so this is also a nod to that.
